On April 24, 2025, Oshkosh Defense Europe B.V., in partnership with US based Oshkosh Defense announced a significant contract awarded by the Netherlands Ministry of Defence. The agreement involves the production of 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPV), a specialized variant of the U.S. Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), designed to meet the specific requirements of the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps under the Future Littoral All-Terrain Mobility – Patrol Vehicle (FLATM-PV) program.
This procurement underscores the Netherlands’ commitment to enhancing its expeditionary and amphibious capabilities, particularly in challenging littoral environments. The DXPV is designed to offer advanced off-road mobility, speed, and transportability, ensuring seamless operational and logistical interoperability with NATO allies. Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer at Oshkosh Defense, emphasized the strategic value of the DXPV, stating that its high degree of commonality with the approximately 22,000 JLTVs delivered to the U.S. Department of Defense and over 1,600 units fielded across NATO and allied nations significantly reduces the logistics footprint and enhances system performance and operational readiness.
