Chilean Navy’s M-class frigates to receive Havelsan’s Advent combat management system
The Chilean Navy and Havelsan signed an agreement to integrate the Türkiye company’s Advent combat management system (CMS) into the National Squadron’s FF-15 Almirante Blanco Encalada and FF-18 Almirante Riveros M-class multipurpose frigates.
According to Havelsan, the CMS Advent was selected by the Chilean Navy to modernize the command and control capabilities of the M-class multipurpose frigates that were acquired in 2004 from the Netherlands under the Puente II project.
Implementation is scheduled to be completed within four years and in this period the CMS Advent will be fully integrated into both frigates, ensuring seamless interoperability with existing on-board systems and weapons.
With this project, Chile becomes the ninth country and the first in South America to integrate the Advent combat management system into its naval combat platforms, expanding the scope of this technological solution and attracting growing international interest.
