USAF: New Scorpion missile used in UAV attacks in Afghanistan

The USAF is using new smaller missiles in its operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The new weapons are smaller than the HELLFIRE which was widely used in UAV attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan.
This Lockheed Martin-designed missile, called the Scorpion Small Smart Weapon, weighs about 35 pounds and is 21 inches long. The diameter is about 3 inches. The missile offers four guidance system options.
