Syria; Remote controlled IED used by rebels
| News - Asia |
Reaping lessons learned from the recent Libyan rebels tactics, Syrian guerillas are trying to develop a mobile remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) to attack security forces checkpoints.
The device consists of the chassis of a child's pedal car that has been equipped with an electric motor and what appears to be a large explosive charge.
The ‘IED UGV” is probably remote controlled by radio, designed to detonate inside Syrian Army check posts or fortified positions.
